OVERVIEW
Fly Like Superheroes
We believe the “superpower” of single-human-flight can be democratized given the current state of technology: drones are flying everywhere and we are consistently landing rockets. We thought - Why not humans?
We founded Exovolar to create something that has been historically fiction: a way for a single human to authentically explore the sky, easy to learn and accessible by everyone.
*The video is a computer-generated demo version. Product is still currently under development and is not currently available on the market.
Exovolar aims to augment our mobility tool, the legs, to make flying as simple as walking. The combination of jet engines, exoskeleton, and our patented thrust vector nozzle allows the legs to fulfill their destined duty – to support and move our body in the sky.
We plan on providing variations of the technology for different customers. Whether it is the trained or untrained general public, professionals, and/or military personnel, there is a way for everyone to authentically explore the sky.
Meet the team behind the mission:
THE PROBLEM
When it Comes to Tasks - Getting Humans into the Air to is Costly, and Inefficient
There exists an aerial domain beyond the reach of existing cranes, lifts, and helicopters where humans are needed to carry out complex tasks in air.
But there have been some issues...
Additionally, current personal air mobility systems make it possible to send humans reliably in air with minimal form factor, but will require constant use of hands to operate - making it more difficult, and less safe to perform tasks at hand.
*Dramatization. This is a computer generated image of a product not being developed by Exovolar.
THE SOLUTION
*The above graphic contains images of a prototype which is currently not available for general use.
Analogous to how SpaceX lands their rockets by automatically adjusting the nozzle direction - we use variations of thrust vectoring technology to automatically balance the flight system with a human onboard.
This means form factors, like exoskeletons, platforms, and hybrids, will vary depending on the market we focus on. For now, we are developing a prototype that can be adapted to future systems.

Here’s a look at the business model that makes it all happen:
THE MARKET
We Believe The Sky’s The Limit with Our Market Opportunity
Here’s a look into how we can penetrate this billion-dollar market:1. Source | 2. Source | 3. Source |4. Source
Other companies in the personal air mobility (PAM) field focus on flying a human from point A to point B with minimal form factor.
Differently from existing solutions, we take the system complexity trade-off to realize airborne utility - where the human can carry out useful tasks in air.
*The video is a computer generated demo version. Product is still currently under development.
With this differentiation, we are an alternative to crane lifts, suspended workstations, and helicopters in some applications.
We believe our advantage to other PAM companies is that we have a highly technical founding team. With them on board, we are able to iterate through design and fabrication quickly.
The control algorithm we are developing will also be unique for the hands-free personal flight system. As for competing with companies that provide traditional methods of aerial workspace access, we aim to cut down logistic effort and cost for operators.
OUR TRACTION
Miles of Milestones
We have designed, fabricated, and tested the thrust vector technology that will be the core of the system’s control. All the subsystem parts and software drivers are integrated and tested. At this point, we have all the expensive hardware needed to become airborne with the first prototype and a dedicated airport location for tests.*The above graphic contains images of a prototype which is currently not available for general use.
In the meantime, we’ve already made a lot of progress. Check out our accomplishments since our founding.

WHY INVEST
Dream Up with Exovolar
Our vision is to make the personal air mobility technology truly useful and accessible to many industries. We’d like to see the utility of the technology lead to a future where humans can overcome the constraints of gravity.
The autonomy of the system is also a must to let anyone reach the sky without extensive training. Thus, a future where personal flight is a commonplace technology in both utilitarian and entertaining aspects of the world.
It’s time to build upon decades of pursuit in personal air mobility and make the technology more than a mere novelty. Together, we can build the personal air mobility technology that contributes to a different and genuinely awe-some future.

As our campaign comes to an end. We'd like to thank everyone who have invested. The investments so far have given us valuable runway in our pursuit towards the future of air mobility.
We firmly believe aerial work is the next frontier in expanding human capabilities. Allowing humans and/or robots to perform dynamic and dexterous tasks in air would be among the long list of paradigm-shifting advances that defines who we are for years to come.
Exovolar will likely join an accelerator in the near future. It is also likely that we pursue a path to revenue within the next six months in entertainment. That way we can sustainably continue our R&D without relying on excessive outside capital. We are working extremely hard toward these two near future goals.
In our opinion, by first allowing a person to fly handsfree and perform tasks in air, is the best approach to intelligently design future systems that can mimic, match, and exceed the human performance in air. If you believe in our vision and would like to support us, please proceed with your investment in the short remain period of the campaign :)
Best,
Hao | CEO @ Exovolar

Hi everyone,
We've been advancing the projects mentioned previously, as well as communicating with our DoD contacts, regarding two proposals that could lead to government funding. We've also been looking for angels investors to lead the round, which I have learned throughout the equity crowdfunding process, is important to establish momentum and credibility for follow-on investments.
The main announcement is that tomorrow (Feb 8, 2022) at 3DEXPERIENCE World, I will be interviewed LIVE from 10:45 to 11:00 a.m. (EST). It is a free event and will also be streamed on YouTube. The LIVE interview will be an open discussion of me talking about our business. If you are interested in technical content, there are pre-recorded clips of me talking about tech prior to the LIVE interview, as well as other 200+ breakout sessions include the conference program.
Hope to see you there!

Greetings everyone,
We received a Letter of Support from a DoD branch where they are "very supportive of the work from Exovolar" in areas related to "means for rapid, low-volume transport of individual personnel, casualties, supplies, and equipment".
To continue working with the DoD (e.g. grant proposals) and to commit to other projects with the industry (that we have not yet disclosed), we need to hire an engineering team to show we have the capacity to take on the challenges. So far, we've only marketed the campaign to our immediate and secondary networks. Now that we have more solid traction (with more in the pipeline). We will start reaching out to angels and more established investors. We also have a proper PR campaign planned in January for us to get more media coverage.
Invest now to help us hire and accelerate our progress.
Hao,
CEO @ Exovolar

We recently signed a letter of intent (LOI) with one of the world's leading air sport equipment manufacturer for our new collaboration project. We are keeping the details confidential as we plan for the relatively large arrangement.
As you all know, an LOI is non-binding. I believe we are using them the proper way: instead of going for high volume, low-intent letters (for traction, a common practice that gave LOIs a bad name), we are going for strategic partners that can actually make our future plans happen. We are all super excited for the final vision of the project and the collaboration would advance technical development, product discovery, marketing, and potentially academic research for all parties involved.
Invest now to help us fulfil our end of deal. We are very excited to see our technology soar through the sky in the near future!
Hao,
CEO @ Exovolar

Our technical focus now is to design, test, and iterate the control algorithm for the four thrust vector nozzles assisting human flight. As we get more comfortable in lower thrust levels, we went up to 100% thrust in one test and this is what it looks like (things escalated really quickly) but we were able to land safely from this.
In our latest control strategy test, we might have fortuitously done something that has never been done before, doing a pull-up in a jet suit. If you look closely, you can see the nozzles automatically adjust for a potential level flight.
Our next steps would be getting the prototype ready and attempting taking off and level flight in one-go with a new safety apparatus setup. We are confident in our ability to do so with all the knowledge and data we've collected during our tethered hover tests.
Invest now to help us reach our future milestone!

As we get back into technical work, the first parts we wanted to modify were the engine brackets. We make a sturdier version of the brackets (while reducing some weight!) to address some of the bracket strength concerns we discovered in previous tests.
As we waited for the parts to be fabricated, we took the chance to attend a conference in Texas and to host an exhibition booth at Propelify 2021 in Hoboken, NJ. It was great to see everyone in real life again while making some good conversations!
Now that the new parts have arrived, we will be assembling them and proceed with the next phase of flight tests!

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.
With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000 are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, they are limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.
At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.
Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.
StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.
For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.
For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancellation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancellation policy. You may find the company’s cancellation policy in the company’s offering circular.
Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.
Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to be sent back to the account associated with the investment.
Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements. To learn more about Regulation Crowdfunding, click here, and for Regulation A+, click here.
