OVERVIEW
newBin is on a mission to stop plastic waste that is piling up in our parks and our oceans. We are creating an app that brings recycling into the 21st century from your fingertips to real recyclers, and we tell you honestly how your plastic is being recycled. The newBin app will let users schedule recycling pickup at their convenience and earn Eco Rewards for discounts at local stores. newBin offers simple, no-sorting recycling that incentivizes Americans to recycle more. The newBin app is in beta stage of development and currently is not available on the market.
*The app is currently under development and not yet available on the market. These images are of a demo version.
THE PROBLEM
Only half of U.S. households have access to curbside recycling. Waste collection companies are charging ever-higher collection fees for recycling, leading many cities to cut back or end their recycling program altogether. Residents don't have control over whether their city provides recycling services and they don't have confidence that their recyclables won't end up in a landfill.
Even if curbside recycling is offered, residents have little confidence that the waste is actually being recycled. Waste collection companies limit the materials they will recycle.
THE SOLUTION
newBin uses technology to provide a free, more effective recycling option. Once the app is completed, users - we call them Binnies - will be able to request a recycling pickup from the app. A newBin team member - we call these heroes our Binners - will pick up items and drop them off at newBin container locations. We do the sorting and Binnies receive Eco Rewards for their recycling - redeemable for discounts at local grocery stores, gas stations, and other participating retailers.
*The app is currently under development and not yet available on the market. These images are of a demo version.
We don't charge our Binnies a penny, we generate revenues from:
THE MARKET
Currently less than 9% of the 35.7 million tons of post-use plastic generated yearly gets recycled. That's due to a lack of access. Even where people can participate, only about 40% of the material deemed recyclable makes it into the recycling bin. We are ready to disrupt this model making newBin an impactful and profitable investment.
OUR TRACTION
We’ve done our homework, and are ready to scale up. We conducted market research, and created a study with a premier research firm to confirm the desire for this service and provided strategic direction on audience targeting and messaging.

Dear investors, family and friends,
It’s with deep sadness that I have to report the newBin company is ceasing operations as a result of dramatically changed and unforeseen political and economic changes since the startup of the company 3 years ago.
newBin was intended to disrupt the traditional and inefficient curbside recycling collection system by tapping into a new and growing market for recycled plastics that would expand beyond the drink bottles and milk jugs collected now.
The foundation of this expansion of plastics recycling was increased investment in large-scale plastics recycling plants, such as International Recycling Group’s mega-plant scheduled for build in Erie, Pa. IRG’s plant, and others like it. The new plants would be able to sort more materials from homes and convert more plastic into resins for new products, creating a dynamic market for previously unwanted post-use plastics and driving the economics of newBin’s collection system.
However, with a change in government came a reversal in support for funding for recycling as part of the Administration’s policy of “terminating the green new deal” as stated in President Trump’s Executive Order M-25-11, signed on January 21st of this year. In addition, consumer products groups have been reversing many Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) commitments made in recent years in order to be consistent with trends they are seeing in government and society.
It is deeply unfortunate that the market for recycled plastics has gone into reverse instead of moving forward.
After initial capital investment from the Reg C offering was utilized to develop the newBin app and support early collection efforts—including deployment of receptables, collection and sorting—International Recycling Group advanced in excess of $54,642.62 after its initial $125,000 capital injection to continue funding the operations.
On April, 3rd IRG announced it had ceased operations due to a lack of resources as stated in its press release which is attached.
Over the past two years, newBin has expanded access to recycling for underserved communities by partnering with non-profit organizations, community centers, and small downtown businesses, serving more than 15,000 households across Erie and its surrounding neighborhoods.
Our mission went beyond environmental impact—newBin created meaningful employment opportunities, hiring over 12 at-risk youth at $15 per hour to assist in collecting, sorting, and processing recyclable materials. By combining environmental action with economic empowerment, we aimed to reshape what local recycling can look like.
While this news is extremely disappointing, I would only ask that what you risked by your investment has already made a significant impact on the lives of young people and created an example for how recycling should be done in the future.

Plastics recycling is dependent on public policy decisions, including continued federal and state financial support. newBin’s collection service has, since its inception, been receiving financial support from International Recycling Group.
Due to uncertainty related to continued support by the federal government, we have had to put all collection activities on hold for the time-being.
We thank you all for your efforts to reduce plastic pollution and return waste plastics to be recycled.
We hope that this will only be a limited pause and look forward to restarting collection at some time in the future.
Best Regards,
Chris

At newBin, we’ve been delighted by the enthusiasm the Erie community has shown for our program and the need for effective plastics recycling in general. In terms of cashflow, we’ve maintained an overhead of about $1600 for last quarter’s residential collection services, which we estimate will rise to about $4000 once our commercial collection services are fully operational. We are actively controlling costs while preparing for this service line expansion. On the team front, our eyes are directed by Community Development Director, Chris, who has been overseeing a talented corps of collectors, sorters, and campaigners. Notably, we've expanded our recycling collection into Greene Township, marking our first drop-off cart outside of Erie’s city limits. We are currently looking for new team members to stay ahead of our increasing user base.
Turning to our future plans, the immediate goals include procuring a new drop-off cart for servicing the western side of Erie and increasing the number of app users. Another major focus is transitioning to profitable commercial collection from businesses, supplementing our free residential collection program. We are also committed to promoting the importance of recycling within the community, including public events and social media.
We consider our investors an essential part of this journey and would appreciate any feedback or suggestions you could share with us. Your thoughts are very valuable for our continual growth and development.
Warm Regards,
Mitch Hecht, President

“Best Way to Recycle” Committed to Advancing newBin Sustainability Goals
ERIE, PA (April 11, 2022) – newBin, the first free on-demand recycling service to collect any and all types of plastics, is partnering with Saskatchewan-based Kwik BagIt Products International Inc. to jointly develop a market for the “Kwik BagIt Closed – Loop Rewards Recycling System” in the United States (provisional patent pending), furthering the companies’ joint commitment to solve the global plastic waste crisis.
“In our quest to revolutionize recycling by dramatically improving our practices regarding proper recycling and waste management, Kwik BagIt is a great partner,” said Mitch Hecht, Founder and CEO of newBin. “Working with Kwik BagIt, allows us to motivate households to replace single-use plastic recycling bags that cause problems for recycling equipment and unnecessarily fill up landfills.
newBin and Kwik BagIt will work together to jointly market the washable/reusable recycling bag system made from recycled “rPET” through newBin’s alternative and revolutionary curbside on-demand recycling collection system launching this summer with neighborhood collections, at homes, offices, restaurants, medical facilities, shoreline cleanups and outdoor college events.
“As an innovator, I am always on the lookout and thinking about the next best and big opportunity, and when I met Mitch, I was so excited that I finally found the right, like-minded individual who has the same passion to improve our recycling practices and achieve Zero Plastic by 2025 as mandated in the US Plastic Pact.,” said Harold Sokyrka, Founder and CEO of Kwik BagIt. “Right now, billions of pounds of the 6 different types of valuable plastics are not being recycled properly in the curbside programs and material recovery facilities, or “MRF’s”, struggle to recycle less than 10% of what we put into the containers resulting in unnecessary waste material that is littering our planet and filling up our already overflowing landfills. The Kwik BagIt System will significantly reduce the volume of single-use plastic bags that can take up to 100 years decompose and can enter the water supply, where they break down and are eaten by plankton, fish, and wildlife which can result in health issues for humans and a threat to the overall environment.
Sokyrka goes on to say: “Together, with newBin we can get our eco-friendly bags to the public, improve recycling practices, and reach our sustainability goals.
The newBin app will let users schedule recycling pickup at their convenience and earn digital rewards that can be redeemed for goods and services with participating partners. newBin’s vision is to offer simple, no-sort, free-of-charge, recycling of all plastics that incentivizes Americans to recycle more. A crowdfunding campaign for newBin, currently underway, offers an opportunity for investors, both large and small, to share in newBin’s mission to stop waste plastic piling up in landfills, parks, and waterways. Participants in the crowdfunding enjoy direct ownership in the recycling startup. To learn more about newBin’s investment opportunity, visit: www.startengine.com/newbin

ABOUT KWIK BAGIT
KwikBagIt has been selling sustainable products in Canada since 2017 with a mission to improve the inferior products that are cumbersome and difficult to use. The “Yard Pal Bag Holder” is “making the task easier” when trying to keep a bag open while filling it. The company is introducing the “Kwik BagIt Closed -Loop Rewards Recycling System” this year which will reward households and non-profit groups for collecting the six types of valuable plastics, aluminum and metal cans that every household throws away daily. The “System” is retrieving over 80% of quality materials and shows the householder how to eliminate contamination and co-mingling of materials, compared to the current rates of less than 10% that material recovery facilties are struggling to achieve. www.bestwaytorecycle.com

ERIE, PA (April 5, 2022) – newBin, the first free on-demand recycling service to collect any and all types of plastics, has established a plastics recycling partnership with Rehrig Pacific Company to help develop and launch newBin in the Erie community.
“Forming meaningful partnerships with leading sustainability-forward companies like Rehrig Pacific, enables us to grow, and helps us reach our goals of solving the looming plastic waste crisis, while building an impactful, community-based recycling collection model,” said Mitch Hecht, Founder and CEO of newBin. “We are dedicated to the Erie community, and excited to get more involved with local organizations and our fellow Erieites.”
“At Rehrig Pacific in Erie, we are committed to supporting recycling programs which are available and accessible to as many people as possible,” said Sam Haag, Erie Plant Manager, Rehrig Pacific. “After speaking with Mitch and the newBin team, we learned that we share a common vision about the importance of sustainability in plastics and recycling, and we’re ready to support newBin to further engage the whole Erie community.”
Rehrig Pacific will be a leading supporter of newBin and its collection pilot in the City of Erie that will launch this summer. The initial roll-out of the newBin program will involve pop-up “drop off” events and neighborhood cleanups around the city — involving Erie residents by providing jobs for at-risk youth, education about the importance of recycling and grass-roots activism; encouraging all households to participate.
Rehrig Pacific has agreed to donate free recycling bins for plastics to be utilized in commercial venues, including local restaurants, and at concerts and parks, as well as provide front-load commercial containers for residential bag drops.
“Rehrig Pacific’s hundred-year history is built on family, service, growth, innovation, intrapreneurship, and of course sustainability,” said Haag. “We understand the importance of supporting the communities where we
operate and we believe that open and inclusive collaboration results in more impactful and scalable solutions that support systemic change.”

Not only are our recycled-content thank you gifts the perfect way to avoid shopping bags and show off your involvement in the recycling revolution, but we believe their best use is to spark a conversation about the endless array of applications for post-use plastic once properly collected, and how increasing demand for recycled-content products is one of many small ways to promote a circular economy for plastic.

With Regulation A+, a non-accredited investor can only invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year, whichever is greater. There are no restrictions for accredited investors.
With Regulation Crowdfunding, non-accredited investors with an annual income or net worth less than $124,000 are limited to invest a maximum of 5% of the greater of those two amounts. For those with an annual income and net worth greater than $124,000, they are limited to investing 10% of the greater of the two amounts.
At the close of an offering, all investors whose funds have “cleared” by this time will be included in the disbursement. At this time, each investor will receive an email from StartEngine with their Countersigned Subscription Agreement, which will serve as their proof of purchase moving forward.
Please keep in mind that a company can conduct a series of “closes” or withdrawals of funds throughout the duration of the campaign. If you are included in that withdrawal period, you will be emailed your countersigned subscription agreement and proof of purchase immediately following that withdrawal.
StartEngine assists companies in raising capital, and once the offering is closed, we are no longer involved with whether the company chooses to list shares on a secondary market or what occurs thereafter. Therefore, StartEngine has no control or insight into your investment after the close of the live offering. In addition, we are not permitted to provide financial advice. You may want to contact a financial professional to discuss possible investment outcomes.
For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before the closing of the offering. Note: If the company does a rolling close, they will post an update to their current investors, giving them the opportunity to cancel during this timeframe. If you do not cancel within this 5-day timeframe, your funds will be invested in the company, and you will no longer be able to cancel the investment. If your funds show as ‘Invested’ on your account dashboard, your investment can no longer be canceled.
For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four-hour cancellation period. Once the four-hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancellation policy. You may find the company’s cancellation policy in the company’s offering circular.
Once your investment is canceled, there is a 10-day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.
Refunds that are made through ACH payments can take up to 10 business days to clear. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the bank, but we will do everything we can to get you your refund as soon as possible. However, every investment needs to go through the clearing process in order to be sent back to the account associated with the investment.
Both Title III (Regulation Crowdfunding) and Title IV (Reg A+) help entrepreneurs crowdfund capital investments from unaccredited and accredited investors. The differences between these regulations are related to the investor limitations, the differing amounts of money companies are permitted to raise, and differing disclosure and filing requirements.
