OVERVIEW
g
Introspective Networks' focus is on real, proactive cybersecurity measures for comprehensive privacy protection for individuals, companies, employees working from home, and national defense. This is cybersecurity reimagined.
Our company was formed in 2013 when our founder and T-CEO Anthony Thompson left Level 3 Communications to create a generic distributed framework for the Industrial Internet of Things. Just weeks later, the NSA leaks came out. It was clear that this was a ground zero event for the cybersecurity issues of the future, and served as a call to action for Mr. Thompson to pivot his new company to develop an updated approach to cybersecurity.
To accomplish this, we have harnessed the power of One Time Pad encryption, the gold standard for encryption and the only known cipher that cannot be broken, even in theory. Using our patented Streaming Transmission One-Time-Pad Protocol (STOP) in combination with Moving Target Defense, we have created a new approach to cybersecurity with zero known vulnerabilities.
Our approach is on the forefront of current industry trends. The May 12th, 2021 Presidential Executive Order pivoted the government from cyber offense to defense, marking an industry shift, and we believe we are well-equipped to become leaders in this change.
The members of our team are industry veterans who have over a century of combined experience, handling multi-million dollar budgets and creating systems that controlled one of the largest telecommunications networks in the world, all while maintaining high availability services in computer science, telecommunications, and business.
Join us as we build a more secure future for individuals, businesses, and our country.
The Problem
Currently, most cybersecurity solutions seek to fix problems as they happen, without removing the opportunity for these problems to occur at all.
This is because today's Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is designed to be cracked, whether by Nation States or anyone else with the inclination and resources. Currently, there is ample evidence to show that nearly any Nation State, or anyone else with the inclination and resources, can create a cracking capability. In the 1990s and early 2000s, the limited power of computers created a barrier to entry to be able to crack complex encryption with commodity hardware. However, in the late 2000s, the advent of graphics processing, including single-instruction multi-data (SIMD) processors, made it so anyone could potentially create a cracking machine by adding these SIMD processors to graphics cards in the form of GPUs.
When the NSA leaks of 2013 occurred, it became clear that the AES was no longer providing adequate protection, as it had become standardized to the point that building a cracking machine based on its algebraic proof was quite possible.
Edge cloud computing has exhibited a major exposure and is being exploited in most ransomware attacks. As a result, cybersecurity for data in motion is close to non-existent. Without innovation in our approach to encryption, almost nothing can be done about the attack vectors in the network.
The Solution
Introspective Network’s flagship SmokeNet products and services work by removing known network attack vectors through the combined use of two technologies: Moving Target Defense and our patented Streaming Transmission One-Time-Pad Protocol (STOP).
Moving Target Defense
SmokeNet uses Moving Target Defense to remove all network attack vectors, including recording. Using short and transient connections, MTD makes the originating port unknown while removing the threat of open leave for port scanning.
Our patented Streaming Transmission One-Time-Pad Protocol solves the classic “key exchange” problem in a practical way, allowing an OTP to be used directly in the network. We believe this provides an unprecedented level of proactive protection, as OTP encryption cannot be broken.
Our consumer products work as a drop-in replacement for traditional VPN services, but with much more robust security. Our hardware component ensures easy setup, as users are not required to install software or deal with complex configurations.
Our B2B and Enterprise products work in the same way, but have the benefit of customization to fit the needs of individual businesses. By working within existing network architecture, we allow businesses to leverage the benefits of SmokeNet without making major changes to their existing infrastructure. Additionally, SmokeNet can be used over either public or private IP infrastructure.
We manufacture SmokeNet devices for customers with businesses of all sizes. Our primary personal use device normally retails for $200 with COGS of approximately $75. The device requires a subscription to SmokeNet service, for which the customer pays $35 monthly or $350 annually. Enterprise customers pay higher monthly rates for similar devices used for employees who work from home, and they can also purchase rack mount equipment to protect their larger company networks. This equipment has a significantly higher price tag and we target a minimum of 60% gross margin.
Our Traction
g
We believe our product is creating a new standard for cybersecurity. Multiple third party, independent assessments show zero network vulnerabilities. As far as we know, this is the first time that this has been achieved.
We have over fifteen patents filed for our flagship products, most of them granted and on the way to the market through Introspective Networks' cybersecurity products. More patents are in various stages of development, getting ready to be filed. An investment in Introspective Networks is also an investment in our robust patent portfolio and our commitment to growing it.
The Market
g
While state-of-the-art in its day, cybersecurity that utilizes technology such as AES-256, is largely outdated. AES-256 was a technological development adopted as a standard a lifetime ago in computing timeframes. These technologies are not as secure as they once were.
We have designed SmokeNet from the ground up with bandwidth availability, modern processing power, and forthcoming attack methods in mind.
Until recently, the US has been focused on offense capabilities of cybersecurity, which created an inevitable need to pivot to defense at some point. On May 12, 2021, an executive order was signed initiating this hard pivot to defensive capabilities, reinforcing our belief that our technology is crucial to the future of the government's cybersecurity. We believe that existing cybersecurity programs in the federal government are at odds with that Order, as they perpetuate the ongoing offensive capabilities.
Why Invest
Introspective Networks is driven by the mission of protecting our country's network data. Investing in us is an investment in your cybersecurity.
Nearly a decade ago, we had the foresight to predict a future pivot to defensive cybersecurity. Now, we are seeing that come to fruition with the May 12th, 2021 executive order. In a few years, we envision Introspective Networks capturing a significant piece of the cybersecurity market while continuing to innovate in this space.
With an impressive portfolio of patents, a flagship product with zero known network vulnerabilities based on third-party, independent assessments, and more patented products on their way to the market, we believe we are ready to lead the way into the future of cybersecurity.

GRC Viewpoint Magazine has informed that Introspective Networks is in the final 20 for their Top 10 GRC Solution Providers. We have confirmed that we were selected. The top ten are expected to be finalized this week. They are starting the interview process with Introspective which seems like a very good sign. Nothing mitigates risk like removing it.
An important part of any cybersecurity strategy is risk management. GRC Viewpoint sees our flagship product, SmokeNet, as a "risk management tool that eliminates system vulnerabilities". This reinforces findings by an independent third party that SmokeNet removes all known network vulnerabilities. This includes edge vulnerabilities from inside the network. This is a solution that replaces highly vulnerable VPN solutions.
GRC Viewpoint has over 50,000 digital and print subscribers.
10.31.22
Introspective Networks has been recognized by Enterprise Security Magazine as a 2023 Top Ten Vulnerability Management solution. Enterprise Security Magazine delivers industry news to subscribers of both their physical and digital editions on a monthly basis.
In the article accompanying their 2022 list, Enterprise Security Magazine stated "Too many organizations identify security gaps via scanning, then proceed directly to the remediation phase". We agree. Reactive security means an attack has already happened before your system does anything about it. Introspective lets systems take a proactive, defensive approach to security and vulnerability management. The company’s flagship product SmokeNet manages vulnerabilities by removing them. We have third party validation that SmokeNet removes all known network vulnerabilities. That includes vulnerabilities at the network edge. This removes the need for firewalls at each location. Internet traffic can be consolidated and managed at a single ingress/egress point either managed by an Enterprise or outsourced to a service provider.
Your chance to invest in this award winning, revolutionary technology is closing soon. The time to invest is now.
10.26.22
This raise will be closing on November 2nd. Investing in Introspective Networks through StartEngine is closing soon. We encourage you to browse our campaign page, past updates, and our website to reacquaint yourself with Introspective Networks, our mission, and our technology.
As previously mentioned, we have a slate of fifteen granted patents, with more in progress all the time. When you have an interest in our company, you also have an interest in Intellectual Property the company owns.
There has never been a time in which protecting data has been more important. We are ramping up to begin a marketing push in the private sector with SmokeNet, our flagship product.
Once again, time is running out to own a stake in a company that is striving to be a part of ethical innovation and real, proactive cybersecurity.
10.18.22
As of October 19th, there will be only two weeks left to take advantage of the opportunity to invest in Introspective Networks. Our patents provide a viable network solution for Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) - a cybersecurity framework the US is working toward as part of a May 12th, 2021 executive order. Based on our observations and market research, there are currently no other networking solutions that qualify for use in a ZTA solution. Key based encryption, used by current standards, requires that you trust other parties with key material. That is disqualifying for ZTA and frankly a huge, non technical exposure. In short, encryption, as it is designed today, is not remotely secure from a determined or well resourced adversary. SmokeNet is designed to fix this dilemma.
As a reminder, our IP portfolio includes fifteen patents, eight of which are for the technology underlying SmokeNet, our flagship product. Another line of patents were identified by Cisco Systems in 2014 and appear to be seminal to the field of Fog Computing. Once SmokeNet is bearing cash flow positive revenue, we will pivot to focus on these other patented technologies.
The market for cybersecurity products, as mentioned in previous updates, is increasing at a rapid pace. This is your opportunity to own a piece of a company that is striving to be a part of ethical innovation and growth in cybersecurity.
10.14.22
Introspective is currently in a holding pattern for what is called the Data Transformation Experiment being run by the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) directorate. This will kick off their test and evaluation of SmokeNet and other technologies for use in the Arctic Edge defense of our country.
While we are waiting, we believe there is a very focused, private-sector market we can address fairly easily. We want to share that business plan. This plan is to sell our SmokeNet product to individuals, focusing on people who have inherent distrust of the US government. Since this is an “outside the box” product that protects data in a way that defends against Nation State offensive capabilities, it will be lucrative to those who are concerned about government intrusion on their personal privacy. Frankly, this is a real problem right now and is one of the reasons why we developed SmokeNet.
Please be assured there are provisions for lawful intercept. What SmokeNet does stop is warrantless intercept which is not necessarily illegal in the US currently.
Click here to read a brief of the business plan. Click here to see our home privacy product. Click here to see our personal privacy product. In the US in particular, anyone concerned with cybersecurity and privacy should be taking advantage of SmokeNet.

Introspective Power, Inc. (Introspective) has applied for $1.2M in funding through the US Department of Defense's (DoD) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. A solicitation opened up this summer/fall around Fog Computing. Introspective Networks' patented Processing Units for Multi-Agent Systems (PUMAS) is seminal Fog Computing technology. During talks between Introspective and Cisco Systems in 2014, the term was first used publicly by Cisco Systems coinciding with the creation of the Wikipedia site on Fog Computing. The company has proposed to deploy and test its PUMAS technology as part of this direct to Phase II SBIR.
T-CEO Anthony Thompson has been studying and putting into practice edge computing since 2000 on a global scale. Seeing and anticipating the need for what is now termed Fog Computing, he founded Introspective around creating a generic, fault-tolerant, secure edge computing environment. PUMAS and STOP, the security technology behind SmokeNet, work together to create a perfectly secure Fog computing environment for critical infrastructures like missile defense systems, smart grids, data networks, and smart cities, …
While the business will continue to focus on the marketing and sales of SmokeNet, with development on the latest major release of SmokeNet winding down this month, this direct to Phase II Fog Computing opportunity is timed perfectly to gain recognition for and potentially fund the refinement, testing and improvement of PUMAS, Our analysis shows Fog Computing market will mature in the next 4-5 years. With the DoD always being in front of private sector markets, the company’s business and technology development plans appear to be spot on target.
10.03.22
Introspective Networks has received a new patent grant for cryptographically secure entropy expansion. Entropy is a concept in physics where things become chaotic. Consider the temperature in a room. If one measures that temperature to a fine enough level, say 20 decimal points past the integer value, that value is changing so quickly that it is chaotic. This is an excellent source of true random. Another source is the glow of a lightbulb after it is shut off. Those are electrons leaving the light tube. Once the electrons leave the light tube, they float in an unpredictable way. If you measure the lumens at discrete locations, you can generate a lot of entropic data very quickly.
This patent solves two crucial problems for using a One Time Pad in a network:
It allows enough cryptographically secure randomness to be created to enable STOP/SmokeNet to be used widely.
It solves one of the general problems around using a One Time Pad in a network - the randomness or streaming key material has to be as long as the data itself.
To this last point, the argument goes that you need to send as much as you are receiving making it impossible to ever keep up. Earlier versions of STOP were using standards-based encryption to encrypt this data getting around the problem somewhat as Moving Target Defense, which has been proven to remove all network vulnerabilities, was the technique really protecting that Key Stream.
With this breakthrough, we removed questions about securely transmitting the entropy as well as rebuked the question surrounding having to send the same amount of key materials as the data. By expanding the key material in a cryptographically safe way, we now can actually use a One Time Pad to encrypt the key material itself. Since that key material is not used directly, having it does no good without understanding the expansion method. We can also recursively expand the entropy making a virtually unlimited amount expanded random from a modest amount of initial entropy.
This is a huge breakthrough that further removes arguments against using a One Time Pad directly in a network. Introspective now owns the IP on this concept.

The US government is moving to Zero Trust Architecture. This comprehensive article from the Center for Strategic & International Studies confirms the fact this is not an if but a when. Networking has to move from an Offensive mindset (VPN, Algorithmic Encryption, encryption on a device, …) to a purely defensive one. SmokeNet, based on our market analysis, is still the only purely defensive capability available. There are two separate SmokeNet tests being conducted by the federal government at the time of this writing. These tests are ongoing, validating SmokeNet is ready to be added to the mix for Zero Trust Architecture. These tests are hitting the six month mark.
Networking, especially across the public Internet is foundational for ZTA. If SmokeNet had been in place, the SolarWinds attacks would not have been possible or, at the very least, easy to clean up. SmokeNet creates a truly secure private network using public or shared infrastructure. This move to ZTA is going to kick off in the 2023 budget year. That starts on October 1st for the US Federal Government.

You have been hearing about VPNs, or Virtual Private Networks, for a long time. At Introspective, we started our foray into secure networking thinking we were creating a better, more secure VPN. As our innovation progressed and the patents began to roll in, we realized that we had much more than a VPN on our hands. Indeed, more than a year before some of the big VPN companies started touting Next Generation VPN, we at Introspective coined the term "Next Generation Private Network", as well as its associated acronym, "NGPN".
Here are a few NGPN characteristics:
NGPN has no known network vulnerabilities based on third party assessments
NGPN is “plug and play” with no user configuration to be concerned with.
NGPN is hardware based following the principles of Zero Trust Architecture
NGPN encryption is not crackable; even in theory.
NGPN protects the endpoint from cyberattacks - no endpoint firewall is required.
NGPN employs Quantum-Proof data encryption (not just Quantum Resistant)
If you are excited about what Next Generation Private Networks can do on the cybersecurity front, please INVEST today. As always, don't forget to share this campaign with your friends and fellow investors.
