Company Description

Meadow Simple Living Community Development LLC  is a Colorado limited liability company formed to acquire and develop approximately 10 acres, more or less, in Berthound, Colorado,  located approximately 43 miles north of Denver and 21 miles south of Fort Collins, Colorado, USA (the “Property”). We intend to develop the Property into “The Meadow”, an affordable residential single-family housing development also known as a “micro-village” or “simple living community” (the “Community”). The Community is expected to be comprised of approximately 98 single-family residential building lots and homes ranging from between approximately 597 to 1,230 square feet in size. The Community is designed for potential home buyers seeking both affordability and attainability. By using a system of custom-designed, system-built home-plans and materials selected by our designated home-builder contractor, we believe we can deliver quality and affordability to this growing market segment of potential home buyers. In light of market conditions and/or other factors, we may also hold onto the Property for long-term appreciation and/or cash flow purposes. While there can be no assurance these objectives will be achieved, we intend to use our best efforts toward realizing the highest and best use of the Property. (See “Risk Factors” and “Objectives, Strategies and Proposed Activities”).

Management Team / Advisory Board Bios

Doug Jennings,
Doug started in real estate the day he got home from the Army in October of 2000 by investing in properties and gaining his brokerâ??s license under RE/MAX Alliance in 2001. While his starting point and roots are in residential real estate he has since expand his experience into commercial transactions and furthered his knowledge of investment properties by obtaining a masterâ??s degree in real estate from the University of Denver in 2014 and by obtaining his designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) in 2016. He is constantly furthering his capabilities and efforts to best serve his clients and the real estate community as a whole. Dougâ??s expertise covers various property classes including offices, multi-family, industrial, retail, and even land. He enjoys the analysis and financial evaluation of properties, and his passion for it shows in the way he evaluates each property. He brings his clients a great value proposition through the universal financial language that follows every site or transaction. With corporate experience in companies like Vail Resorts, Dish Network, Oncure Medical (bought by 21st Century), and Xcel Energy, he has a dynamic background to help understand the needs of business owners and corporate initiatives. His ability to evaluate a lease versus own question is resourceful and allows for a numbers approach solution to a complex decision. Also, his ability to guide business leaders through buying and selling (acquisition / disposition) strategies provides a high level of analysis to support an analytical decision process. Doug lives among family and friends in the Denver area.

Kurt Albers,
Kurt Started in the real estate industry in 1992 as a Brokers Assistant. In 1994 he received his license and went to work at Four Seasons Realty. He sold approximately two million in production in that first year. In 1994 Kurt moved to Loveland and went to work for Century 21 where his wife joined him in 2016 and they were top producers for almost twenty years. Not to mention, they were number one in the Rocky Mountain region for several of those years. They relocated in 2019 to RE/MAX Alliance to have a better support group. They sell land, residential single family homes, condos, town homes ranches and new construction. Kurtâ??s background in construction trades, plus his years in architecture design have helped considerably with getting his clients the home they wish and helping his builders with design features that help the models sell faster and for more profit. In 2015 the affordable housing commission that Kurt worked with gave him a challenge; to build attainable housing in Northern Colorado. With considerable studies and traveling to tiny home expos he created the Simple Living micro home and cottage concept. His first presentation brought approximately three thousand potential buyers. His goal as a Realtor, designer, and builder is to provide the best home for the least amount of money that can be built.
