Flavors Of The Isle

We are currently operating in three areas in the food industry: catering services, take-out food service, and online ordering. Flavor of the Isle is currently located at Findlay Market in a temporary location. We prepare our food items in an incubator kitchen and transport the food to the market to sell, for pick up, or delivery. We have been operating this business model since February 2021. Prior to 2021 we were catering, teaching youth's cooking skills and preparing free food services to food-insecure areas.

Ebony Williams

Owner

My name is Ebony Williams, and I am the owner of Flavors of the Isle. My story began in the city of Detroit where I was born to a Liberian (West African) father and an Afro-American mother. I was later raised by a Jamaican stepfather, which helped expand my horizon into the culinary world! As a little girl, my stepfather would allow me to experience the wonderful flavors of his homeland, Jamaica, by allowing me to be his junior assistant in the kitchen. He visited Jamaica yearly and brought home spices, root vegetables, fruits, and local delicacies to enjoy throughout the year.
