The SmartScreen Restaurant Personalization Platform (“SmartScreen”) is a game-changer for restaurant marketing. Its proprietary technology makes it easy to quickly deploy personalized, integrated digital dining experiences across all guest communication channels through personalized menu recommendations, personalized content, triggered pop-ups, emails, and digital advertising. The technology combines artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and operations research (OR) methodologies to generate business insights and meet business objectives while managing constraints to increase guest satisfaction.
SmartScreen is the only restaurant-specific personalization and sales optimization platform. It is a communication channel that allows customers to put in various combinations and preferences to get suitable personalized meal options from various restaurants. At the same time, it allows restaurants to look through customer preferences and work their business around them.
Online, mobile applications account for over 50 percent of orders now in many establishments where before the pandemic they might have been 5-10 percent which makes it necessary for restaurants to work with an integrated platform for order receiving and marketing. The competition in the industry includes historic e-commerce personalization platforms and the restaurants’ own applications. No platform solves the problem like SmartScreen.
SmartScreen charges per channel that it is optimizing such as digital signage, online ordering, or email marketing. In case a client wants to use all channels, the annual fee is $1,200 per year per channel per location or $4,995 a year per location for all channels. Further, it plans to charge advertising fees from various restaurants and other nearby locations endorsed by the restaurant. Such fee from endorsement will be shared in a 70/30 split by the restaurant and SmartScreen.
SmartScreen is currently working with over 10 clients that have around 300 locations combined. The company is in negotiations with the owner group of Boston Market for 350 locations drive Thru Pilot. Similarly, it is also in negotiations with Delphi Display Systems for a paid 350 locations Drive Thru Pilot. The company has not started full-fledged commercialization of its product yet.
