Company Description

@Oak & Main is a woman-owned, family-operated business. We are a brother, sister, and father operation. Between all of us, we have been restaurant managers, master baristas, licensed food managers. With backgrounds in business management, marketing, and commercial baking. We have lived in Nicholasville, KY the majority of our lives, and want to give back by encouraging new growth in the community we love and call home.

We decided to open a coffee shop because it is the perfect opportunity to combine our love of coffee, building a sense of community with our customers, and working together. It has been an idea we talked about forever but were waiting on the perfect time and location to present itself.

Our vibe will be very relaxed and inviting. A place where people can go to work, share a cup of coffee with friends or to relax with a drink and good book to escape for a while. A place where they feel as though they are in a safe comfortable extension of their own home. The goal is for every person that walks through the door to feel like they just arrived at their best friend’s house instead of a place of business. Everyone is welcome!

Our menu will consist of seasonal, made from scratch baked goods featuring family recipes spanning multiple generations. We will also feature rotating brewed coffees highlighting coffees from companies in Kentucky, traditional espresso drinks, affogatos (made with local ice cream!), and hot teas, all featuring locally sourced ingredients.

Price points will be designed for customers to feel they are receiving an amazing value for high quality service and products. Brewed coffees will range from $2-$3, espresso drinks at $5 with a slight upcharge for specialty dairy additions and syrups. Baked goods will be priced at $3-$4 with a menu set up for bulk orders, which will be beneficial during the holidays!

Our location is perfect as it sits directly in the heart of downtown Nicholasville! It is the perfect stop for anyone heading to work in the morning (even those traveling through town for work), and it is within walking distance from the courthouse, attorney’s offices, banks, and all other downtown businesses.

Our success will stem from our prime location, Kara’s savvy in utilizing social media, Jason’s 20+ years of knowledge in the food restaurant industry and Dan’s love of baking and nostalgia. We will combine this to create a friendly and inviting environment that provides high quality products at an affordable price, and create a business model that is adaptable to the customer’s needs, be it by creating a place to be for hours or by providing those in need of a quick coffee and sweets fix with a mobile ordering option and curbside pickup without taking up an excess of their time.
