Containing serial number X0006, this box represents one of the earliest instances of BBCE authenticating a 1986 Fleer box. Each original wax box from this issue contains three complete 132-card sets plus 36 cards towards a fourth set. Inside are three complete 11-card sticker sets plus three additional stickers. The box contains at least one Michael Jordan #57 rookie showing through the top of one of the packs, as well as four Michael Jordan stickers showing through the backs of the packs.

This box has a rookie Michael Jordan card visible through the front of the package. This guarantees that at least one Jordan rookie is contained. There could be additional MJ cards contained within, each one potentially worth $550,000+ if graded a 10.
A 1986-87 Fleer Basketball Wax Box sold for a record setting $344,400 via Goldin Auctions in March 2021.
