The duo later rebranded as Buffalo State Pizza Company and reopened as independent restaurant entrepreneurs., Buffalo State Pizza prepares and serves New York-style hand-tossed thin crust pizza, sandwiches, and other casual foods. The pies are prepared in three sizes (26-, 18-, and 14-inch) as well as sold as large slices. The kitchen uses fresh premium ingredients and source local ingredients when possible., The restaurant owners employ 50 people. Lechevin’s hiring and leadership philosophy is to “treat someone like you would like to be treated. Food and people go together. Treat them with respect.”, Buffalo State Pizza is actively involved with its community and have raised funds for nonprofit partners such as Operation Breakthrough and Uplift Organization. Lechevin and Robson’s investment in the community extends to commissioning local restaurant murals by artist JT Daniels, featuring locally-produced beer, wine, and spirits, and hiring local musicians for live performances.
