Sandwich Starr is a casual counter-service sandwich shop, providing made-to-order East Coast style sandwiches with West Coast flavors, in a comfortable and whimsical setting. Our sandwiches are priced to be competitive, allowing for a full meal for less than twenty dollars. At Sandwich Starr, we focus on a personal touch, allowing our personalities and interests to be seen in our decor and naming conventions. In addition to sandwiches, we offer espresso and coffee drinks, beer and wine to enjoy during your meal. Our focus is good food, a fun atmosphere, and building community. Based in the Stadium district of Tacoma, the most densely populated area of the city, Sandwich Starr appeals to two different demographics of people: the around 18,000 people that live within a mile of Sandwich Starr, including Tacoma natives, families, and young professionals, and East Coast transplants seeking out a taste of home. We feature a house-smoked, thick-cut, East Coast style Pastrami that is made in a style all-but impossible to find in the area. Currently we have multiple customers who travel up to 20 miles weekly to purchase it.
