Joseph is the Distinguished Professor, SAIC Endowed Chair, and former Chair of the Department of Nanoengineering at the University of California, San Diego specializing in nanomachines, biosensors, nanobioelectronics, wearable devices, and electrochemistry. He also serves as the Director of the Center for Wearable Sensors at the University of California San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. Previously, Joseph was the Regents Professor and holder of the Manasse Chair of Chemistry and Biochemistry at New Mexico State University. The advances made by Dr. Wang have been described in over 1,200 research papers and reviews, that were cited over 135,000 times, leading to a H Index of 181. Education: Technion (BSc, MSc, PhD Chemistry), University of Wisconsin, Madison (post doctoral research associate). Joseph is a part-time consultant.
Dr. Patrick Mercier

Patrick is currently an Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), where he is also the co-Director of the Center for Wearable Sensors. His research interests include the design of energy-efficient microsystems, focusing on the design of RF circuits, power converters, and sensor interfaces for miniaturized systems and biomedical applications. Education: University of Alberta (BSc EECS), MIT (MSc, PhD EECS). Dr. Mercier is a part-time consultant.
