At UpCircle, we make sustainable skincare products from ingredients that would otherwise be discarded. When we discovered that the 500,000 tonnes of coffee grounds consumed each year in the UK are sent to landfill (where they produce methane) we decided to start collecting coffee grounds from cafes and transforming them into skincare products. We now repurpose more than 15 other by-product ingredients across industries, including the argan, tea, juice, date, olive and wood industries. Even our packaging is circular, with over 16,000 products hand-refilled to date., According to London-based analysts Future Market Insights, the global natural cosmetics market is estimated to be worth $36bn in 2019 and $54bn by 2027. We’re stocked in household retailers like Sainsbury’s, Holland & Barrett, Ocado, Space NK and Whole Foods US. We sell in over 40 different countries with over 18,000 5* reviews and a cult following that we fondly call our “UpCirclers” (with a private Facebook group to boot). We achieved group turnover of over £3.5m (-£393k loss) in our 2021-22 financial year growing 35% from our previous year., We're certified plastic negative, certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny and Soil Association and COSMOS Organic certified, meaning our ingredients are grown responsibly and promote soil fertility., We're proud to be the UK's #1 upcycled ingredient skincare brand.
