Jarrod Williams
Co-Founder
Jarrod Williams founded Porch Light Properties, LLC in December of 2014 while completing a doctoral program at the University of Kentucky. The company focuses on long-term hold opportunities in both multifamily residential as well as commercial properties. The company is a family-owned and operated business with current investments in Fayette, Woodford, and Mercer counties and $2.5MM in asset value in their portfolio. In 2017, Jarrod teamed up with Alex Riddle to form the Amsden LLC to purchase and revitalize the old Amsden Bank building in downtown Versailles. The building was the original site of the Watkin’s Tavern in 1886 and has operated as numerous businesses since then including several banks. In recent years, the building had fallen into disrepair and was currently being used, in part, by the city police department. The Amsden group purchased the building and removed decades of temporary construction to restore its original beauty. It is currently home to 6 new small businesses that are owned and operated by residents of Woodford county, employing many local citizens. In 2019, Jarrod and Alex formed Rick and Still LLC to undertake their third project in downtown Versailles. Rick and Still LLC will establish The Rickhouse Hotel, a 36,000 square foot boutique hotel complete with an operating bourbon distillery and premiere restaurant that will welcome travelers to the best in hospitality that the Bluegrass has to offer.

Alex Riddle
Chief Connector & Facilitator
Alex Riddle is a son of the horse industry and grew up in Woodford County, Kentucky (the century of thoroughbred breeding). Growing up as the progeny of an equine veterinarian specializing in Thoroughbred breeding in the “Horse Capital of the World” he was inundated with the industry from a young age. Bourbon and horses go hand in hand and in his first job he was able to work on both as a member of the Alltech World Equestrian Games where he was responsible for marketing Horse Country and Bourbon to visitors from all over the world. After years traveling nationally and internationally working in business development for a local pharmaceutical company, he currently works as a Equine Sales Manager for Dechra Veterinary Products selling equine pharmaceuticals and devices to veterinarians and vet clinics across the southeast.Moving back to Versailles in 2016 and fully renovating a historic home on Main Street in the Downtown Business District with his wife Emily, the two of them began to see great opportunity in a downtown that had, for the most part, fallen into stagnation with a couple of lively businesses but many storefront vacancies and no real cultural center. Since that point, he has put together different partnerships with old friends and investors to purchase, fully renovate and lease/operate several commercial buildings around downtown Versailles, KY. In addition to The Amsden Group, LLC with Jarrod Williams, Alex is a co-founder of Kite Riddle Holdings, LLC with childhood friend Jordan Kite. Kite Riddle Holdings was founded to purchase, renovate, and operate the historic Versailles Methodist Church on the same block as The Amsden and The Rickhouse Hotel. This project now boasts a premier wedding venue, restaurant & taproom, and 8 other locally-owned small businesses creating a vibrant downtown scene with regular block parties and a constant stream of visitors.
